There came a time when I was feeling down and I wasn't sure where my art and myself was really going. I couldn't remember specifically what I was in to at the time, all I can remember is when I was making these I was a bit lonely.
At the time Niel Armstrong passed away, so I decided to paint the skies for him honoring his death. Painting the trees and the posts that came with it. And of course, the moon.
I was also trying out gouache for the first time and used it like acrylics and found them quite beautiful to use. I used them to express the solemness of the sky and used acrylics to express the trees and leaves that sway by. I painted them all on paper running the whole sketch pad out and just making sky painting after sky painting. I was trying not to do anything destructive to anyone especially to myself, so I painted. I painted seventy-seven skies for Armstrong.
